Near the corner of Beverly Blvd. & Hayworth Ave. – At 1:00PM, an unknown suspect smashed the passenger window of a 2005 Hyundai parked on the street, stole a factory installed GPS, and fled in an unknown direction.

Wednesday, November 4

7500 block of Beverly Blvd. – Between 11:00AM and 1:00PM, an unknown suspect stole money from a woman’s plastic bag while she was using the restroom at a market.

400 N. block of Kilkea Dr. – Between 7:30PM and 11:00PM,  an unknown suspect smashed the window of a 4-door silver 2005 Dodge Ram parked on the street, stole property including documents/credit cards/checks, and fled in an unknown direction.

Thursday, November 5

Near the corner of Beverly Blvd. & Crescent Heights Blvd. – Between 7:30AM and 9:15AM, an unknown suspect broke into a vehicle parked on the street.  It’s unknown if any property was stolen.

900 N. block of Vista St. – At 12:00PM, an unknown suspect broke into a home through a side window, stole a television, and then fled through the front door in an unknown direction with the property.

Friday, November 6

800 N. block of Edinburgh Ave. – Between 9:30AM and 11:00PM, an unknown suspect broke into an apartment using an unknown tool to unlock the residence, stole money and camera equipment, and fled the property in an unknown direction.

Near the corner of Spaulding Ave. & Melrose Ave. – At 4:00PM, a suspect entered a clothing store with intent to steal property.  After taking computer equipment, the suspect exited the store, and a physical altercation took place between the victim and the suspect.  The suspect, described as a Black male with black hair and brown eyes, 6’2”, 180 lbs, and 34 years old, was taken into custody.

Near the corner of Gardner Ave. & Melrose Ave. – At 6:15PM, two suspects walked up to a woman on the street and demanded her purse and cell phone.  When the victim refused, suspect #1 pointed a handgun at her head and said “give me everything or I will kill you”, and suspect #2 choked the victim.  After taking her cell phone and purse, including her wallet, the suspects fled in a vehicle.  Suspect #1 is describes as a Black male with black hair and brown eyes, 5’4”, 130 lbs, and between 20 – 25 years old.  Suspect #2 is described as a Black male with black hair and brown eyes 5’6”, 130 lbs, and between 20 – 25 years old.  The vehicle is described as a 4-door black Toyota.

600 N. block of Flores St. – Between 8:30PM and 8:30AM on Saturday morning, an unknown suspect stole the tailgate oa a green 2004 Ford Explorer parked on the street.

Saturday, November 7

400 N. block of Kings Rd. – At 8:30PM, an unknown suspect stole a victim’s purse containing money, credit cards and an iPod while the victim was at a party in a single family home.

400 N. block of Curson Ave. – Between 9:00AM and 6:45PM, an unknown suspect pulled open the security bars on the rear window of an apartment, entered the location, ransacked the bedroom and stole a computer before fleeing.

300 N. block of Hayworth Ave. – Between 7:30PM and 11:30PM, an unknown supect broke into an apartment through an open window, stole money, a computer and clothing before fleeing the location in an unknown direction. 

7900 block of Melrose Ave. – Between 8:00PM and 8:30AM on Thursday morning, an unknown suspect broke into a gray 2003 Dodge truck that was parked in a garage by first prying off the lock on the garage doors.  The suspect stole a bicycle and a computer before fleeing in an unknown direction.

400 N. block of Laurel Ave. – Between 11:15PM and 7:30AM on Thursday morning, an unknown suspect broke into a 4-door black 2007 BMW 550 parked on the street by cutting the drivers door.  The suspect stole the air bag and headlights before fleeing the location.

300 N. block of Fuller Ave. – Between 12:30AM and 9:30AM, an unknown suspect smashed the window of a white 2006 Volvo, stole electronic equipment, and fled to an unknown location.

300 N. lock of Fairfax Ave. – Between 2:10PM and 2:15PM, an unknown suspect stole a white 2008 Chevy van parked in an alley.  The vehicle has been recovered.

600 N. block of Alta Vista Blvd. – At 12:30AM, a suspect approached two women on the sidewalk, pointed a gun at the women, and demanded they turn over their purses.  After stealing the purses, the suspect fled southbound on Alta Vista Blvd.  The suspect is described as an Hispanic male with a mustache, 5’10” to 6’0”, 180 lbs., and 31 years old.

600 N. block of Sierra Bonita Ave. – At 3:00AM, a suspect broke into a 2005 Ford parked in a driveway through an unlocked door.  After taking some property, the suspect fled to an unknown location.

400 N. block of Harper Ave. – Between 9:00AM and 9:15AM, an unknown suspect entered a home through a rear door, stole a computer, jewelry and a watch, and fled in an unknown direction.

300 N. block of Fairfax Ave. – At 11:30AM, an unknown suspect stole property from a parking lot and fled the location.

8000 block of Waring Ave. – Between 7:00PM and 12:00PM on Monday afternoon, an unknown suspect removed and stole the tailgate from a 2001 white Ford parked on the street and fled in an unknown direction.

Monday, October 19 

400 N. block of Laurel Ave. – Between 12:00PM and 10:00AM on Tuesday morning, an unknown suspect entered a 2009 silver Acura MDX that may have been unlocked and was parked in a driveway, stole coins from the center console, and then fled the location. 

8400 block of Melrose Pl. – At 1:20PM, two suspects entered a business, removed property from a shelf, and exited the store without paying for the instruments.  They fled in a vehicle in an unknown direction.  The first suspect is described as a Black male with black hair, 5’6”, 180 lbs., and 30 years old.  The second suspect is described as a Black male with black hair, 5’8”, 160 lbs, and 35 years old.  The vehicle, driven by the first suspect, is described as a 4-door balck 2007 Nissan Altima.

600 N. Spaulding Ave. – At 2:15PM, a suspect entered a synagogue through the front door, stole furniture, and fled to an unknown location.  The suspect is described as White male, 5’10” and 190 lbs.

8300 block of Melrose Ave. – Between 10:00PM and 9:45AM on Wednesday morning, an unknown suspect removed trees from the parking lot of a business and fled in an unknown direction. 

Tuesday, October 20

8300 block of Waring Ave. – Between 12:01AM and 1:40AM, an unknown suspect stole four tires with rims that were in the back of a 2004 red Nissan Frontier parked on the street.

Near the corner of Melrose Ave. & Hayworth Ave. – At 3:50PM, a suspect approached a victim and snatched a cell phone from the victim’s hand before fleeing on foot in a northbound direction. The suspect is described as a White male, 6’3” and 30 years old.

Near the corner of Gardner St. & Beverly Blvd. – Between 6:00PM and 7:30PM, an unknown suspect entered an unsecured 2-door black 1986 Toyota parked in a lot, stole a cell phone and a wallet containing money and credit cards, and fled in an unknown direction.

600 N. block of Harper Ave. – At 7:30PM, An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger window of a vehicle, stole clothing, electronics and instruments, and then fled the location in an unknown direction.

Thursday, October 22

800 N. block of Curson Ave. – Between 6:00AM and 6:00PM on Friday evening, an unknown suspect stole a 1998 green Toyota truck parked on the street.  The vehicle has not been recovered.

7300 block of Willoughby Ave. – Between 12:30PM and 7:00PM, unknown suspects broke into a single family home through the front door, stole a television and jewelry, and fled the location.

900 N. block of Orlando Ave. – Between 8:00PM and 7:00AM on Friday morning, an unknown suspect stole the tire and cover from the back of a 2005 black Jeep Liberty parked on the street and fled the location in an unknown direction.

600 N. block of La Cienega Blvd. – At 1:00AM, the victim approached the suspect and asked for a ride home.  The suspect then took the victim to an unknown location, forced her into the rear of the vehicle and raped her.  The suspect is described as a Black male with brown eyes, 5’10”, 185 lbs and between 32 – 38 years old.   The vehicle is described as a 4-door black 2007 Cadillac.

700 N. block of Genesee Ave. – Between 2:00PM and 4:30PM, an unknown suspect broke into a gray 2001 Chevy truck parked on the street and stole a wallet, money and a cell phone before fleeing in an unknown direction.  The truck was possibly unlocked.

Near the corner of 3rd St and Fairfax Ave. – Between 11:15AM and 11:50AM, an unknown suspect stole a wallet containing money and credit cards from a purse at a business. 

Tuesday, October 13

Near the corner of Alfred St. & Melrose Pl. – Between 7:15PM and 8:40PM, an unknown suspect broke into a blue 4-door 2000 Honda Accord parked on the street and stole a wallet and electronic equipment. 

700 N. block of Alta Vista Blvd. – Between 9:30PM and 8:30AM Wednesday morning, unknown suspects entered a rear unlocked door of a single family home and stole jewelry and a computer before fleeing through the point of entry to an unknown location.

7100 block of Melrose Ave. – At 3:45AM, an unknown suspect gained entry to a business through the rear door, stole property, exited through the same door, and fled in an unknown direction.

800 N. block of Fuller Ave. – Between 11:00PM and 6:30PM on Thursday, an unknown suspect smashed the window of a black 2000 Chevy truck that was parked on the street, stole a purse containing a wallet and money, and fled in an unknown direction.

500 N. block of Hayworth Ave. – Between 11PM and 10AM on Tuesday morning, an unknown suspect broke into a 2008 gray 4-door Pontiac parked in a garage/carport and stole auto accessories.

600 N. block of La Cienega Blvd. – At 11PM at a nightclub, an unknown suspect stole a victim’s purse from the floor next to where she was sitting.  The purse contained money, credit cards and other projects.

400 N. block of Martel Ave. – Between 8:40AM and 5:40PM, an unknown suspect pried open the rear door of a single family home and stole a computer and jewelry after ransacking the location. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.

800 N. block of Poinsettia Pl. – Between 10AM and 9:30PM on Friday evening, an unknown suspect stole a 1997 white Oldsmobile van parked on the street.  The vehicle has been recovered.

900 N. block of Laurel Ave. – At 6:25PM, unknown suspects broke into a business by forcing open the rear door and stole a computer and money before fleeing the location in an unknown direction.

8200 block of Melrose Ave. – At 10:40AM, two suspects approached a 2002 Ford truck, and unlatched and opened the back door. They removed property and fled the location.  The first suspect is described as an Hispanic male with brown hair and 40 years old, and the second suspect is described only as an Hispanic male.

400 N. block of Orlando Ave. – At 8:45PM, unknown suspects broke into a 2007 black BMW 328 parked on the street by cutting a hole near the driver’s side door and unlocking the door.  They stole auto parts and accessories and fled the location.

500 N. block of Harper Ave. – At 10PM, unknown suspects broke into a 2008 BMW parked on the street, stole auto parts and accessories, and fled to an unknown location.

Wednesday, October 7

300 N. block of Kings Rd. – Between 1:30AM and 7:00AM, unknown suspects broke into a 2007 black BMW 335 parked on the street by cutting a hole near the driver’s door and unlocking the door.  The suspects stole auto parts and accessories and fled the location.

700 N. block of Stanley Ave. – Between 12:00PM and 2:00PM, an unknown suspect broke into an unlocked 1996 green 2-door BMW 328, stole property including a wallet containing money and fled to an unknown location.

500 N. block of Spaulding Ave. – Between 9:00PM and 8:00AM on Friday morning, an unknown suspect used a hard object to smash the window of a brown 4-door 2003 Honda Civic parked on the street, stole a camera and radio, and fled to an unknown location.

300 N. block of Edinburgh Ave. – At 12:30AM, unknown suspects used a hard object to smash the window of a blue 4-door 2003 Audi A4, stole a computer and other property, and fled to an unknown location.

7800 block of Melrose Ave. – Between 8:00AM and 4:00PM, an unknown suspect stole a black 1993 2-door Honda Civic from a parking lot.  The vehicle has been recovered.

7500 block of Melrose Ave. – At 5:10PM, a suspect entered a clothing store and stole unknown clothing.  When the suspect left the store, the alarm went off and the suspect ran to his vehicle and fled.  The suspect is described as a White male with blonde hair and blue eyes, 5’8”, 150 lbs, between the ages of 20 – 25.  The vehicle is described as a 4-door yellow Audi with California plates.

Sunday, September 27

400 N. block of Fairfax Ave. – Between 3:48AM and 4:00AM, a suspect ordered and consumed food in a restaurant and then fled through the rear exit without paying, getting into a vehicle with another suspect and fleeing in an unknown direction.   The first suspect is described as an Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, 5’10” tall, 170 lbs., and between the age of 20 – 30 years old.  The second suspect is described as a White female, 5’0” tall, 110 lbs., and 22 years old.

300 N. block of Alfred St. – Between 10:00PM and 7:30AM on Monday morning, an unknown suspect entered a 2008 gray 2-door BMW 328 parked on the street.  The suspect removed the airbags and headlights, damaging the vehicle in the process, before fleeing the location in an unknown direction.   

Monday, September 28 

7200 block of Melrose Ave. – At around 1 AM, a underage female victim was walking along Melrose Avenue near Alta Vista when a suspect approached then grabbed victim dragging her into the alley, victim was sexually assaulted, raped.  Suspect in custody, see posted story.

900 N. block of Crescent Heights Blvd. – Between 8:00PM and 7:00AM on Wednesday morning, an unknown suspect stole a 1995 Ford F45 parked in a driveway.  The vehicle has not been recovered.

Wednesday, September 30

700 N. block of Gardner Ave. – Between 12:00PM and 12:30PM, an unknown suspect stole property containing documents that was hanging from the mailbox before fleeing the location.

800 N. block of Sweetzer Ave. – Between 5:30PM and 6:30PM, an unknown suspect stole sporting goods from the property of a single family home and fled.

Thursday, October 1

7700 block of Melrose Ave. – At 5:30PM, a suspect approached a victim in a parking lot, pushed the victim to the ground, threatened the victim with a wooden board and grabbed the victim’s cell phone before fleeing the area.  The suspect is described as a male with brown hair and brown eyes, 5’9” tall, 165 lbs., and between the age of 40 – 45 years old.  The suspect’s vehicle is described as a black 2010 Volvo.

400 N. block of Harper Ave. – At 11:00AM, a suspect stole money and a debit card from a 90-year-old male who suffers from dementia.  The property was stolen from him in his apartment without his knowledge.  The suspect is described as a White female with brown hair and brown eyes, 5’2” tall, 150 lbs., and 24 years old.
