

At the January 6, 2010 Melrose Action Neighborhood Watch meeting over 60 Melrose Village residents and business owners crowded into Blu Jam Cafe on to hear from our Los Angeles City Council Member Paul Koretz. Paul spoke and answered questions for nearly an hour. He talked extensively about neighborhood issues, including the proliferation of marijuana storefronts, the appearance of sober living houses, permit parking, the city budget crisis, the increase in graffiti, the need for improvements along Melrose Avenue, and the importance of public safety.

On Saturday December 5th LAPD Wilshire Division officers arrested a suspect believed to responsible for a series of home burglaries that occurred recently in the Melrose Village area.
