On Wednesday, June 24 at around 9:20 am -- West Hollywood / L.A. County sheriff's said a distraught individual barricaded himself inside his residence in the 9000 block of Keith Street due to an eviction order that had been issued on the premises. The standoff ended when the person inside the location apparently committed suicide. Several streets including Santa Monica Blvd were closed for a few hours creating traffic nightmares near the new Pavilions market. Rumors circulated through the area that a gunman was holed up and had opened fire at the construction site of the Pavilions, which of course turned out not to be true.
